These public health commercials from 1976, when doctors feared that an outbreak of the virus in the US could become a pandemic, attempted to heighten fears of the disease to increase the take-up of vaccinations.

In the first advert, clips of active, healthy people insisting they do not need the shot are juxtaposed with footage of them lying sick in hospital beds.

"A swine flu epidemic may be coming... it could make you very sick... you'll want to be protected," the voice-over artist booms above an ominous-sounding drum beat.

The second commercial shows how easily swine flud can be transmitted, between family members and around the country via "a cab driver, a ticket agent, and one of the charming stewardesses."

VANCOUVER, B.C.-- Presenters at the CanSecWest security conference detailed on Thursday how they can sniff data by analyzing keystroke vibrations using a laser trained on a shiny laptop or through electrical signals coming from a PC connected to a PS/2 keyboard and plugged into a socket.

Using equipment costing about $80, researchers from Inverse Path were able to point a laser on the reflective surface of a laptop between 50 feet and 100 feet away and determine what letters were typed.

Chief Security Engineer Andrea Barisani and hardware hacker Daniele Bianco used a handmade laser microphone device and a photo diode to measure the vibrations, software for analyzing the spectrograms of frequencies from different keystrokes, as well as technology to apply the data to a dictionary to try to guess the words. They used a technique called dynamic time warping that's typically used for speech recognition applications, to measure the similarity of signals.

Line-of-sight on the laptop is needed, but it works through a glass window, they said. Using an infrared laser would prevent a victim from knowing they were being spied on.

When the Irish taoiseach received his invitation to the White House to speak alongside Barack Obama on St Patrick's Day, it was his big moment to shine on the world stage.

But when Brian Cowen began his address last night, his speech had a horribly familiar ring to it. And no wonder: he had been repeating exactly what Obama had said minutes earlier.

The autocue was apparently the cause of this embarrassing case of deja vu. Rather than being ready with Cowen's speech, the teleprompting machine simply reloaded the one Obama had just given.

Cowen was around 20 seconds into the wrong speech before he realised his gaffe. He stopped suddenly and looked back at the president to say: "That's your speech."

A MAN sought by the UK authorities for allegedly attempting to pervert the course of justice by sending a controversial DVD to a judge and jury foreman during a trial relating to bomb attacks in London in July 2005 has appeared before the High Court after being arrested in Co Meath.

Sheffield-born Anthony John Hill (60) was arrested by gardaí at his home in Carrick Street, Kells, early yesterday morning on foot of a European Arrest Warrant, Mr Justice John MacMenamin was told.

Mr Hill’s extradition is being sought in relation to his alleged actions during the trial of several people on conspiracy charges related to the attacks on July 7th, 2005, that took place on the London underground and a London bus.

It is alleged that, in May and June 2008, Mr Hill sent several copies of a DVD entitled 7/7 Ripple Effect to the judge and the foreman of a jury at the trial at Kingston Crown Court of people allegedly involved in assisting the 2005 bombings.

7/7 Ripple Effect is a film, available on the internet, which claims people accused of involvement in the bombings are innocent and that the bombings were an “inside job”, perhaps involving state intelligence agencies in either Britain or Israel.

Obama is a controlled puppet. So is Hillary.

The corruption in which the Clintons were involved is well documented. This includes a laundry list of political assassinations, including Vincent Foster. They are not strangers to false flag operations; the above link provides extensive documentation on how the Oklahoma City bombing was staged just like 9/11, which explains the confrontations of Hillary's husband with the 9/11 Truthers and his forceful denials.

Bill Clinton attended the well-known elitist Bilderberg group, as admitted by Hillary, although she denied insider reports that she attended in 2006. Bill Clinton is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. The CFR acts as a politburo for the Republicrats and pushes for world government and the North American Union, whilst AIPAC keeps US foreign policy favourable to Israel. And although I am not a fan of Chomsky since he dismissed the 9/11 Truth Movement, he documents very well in this article the ideology of the Trilateral Commission. And of course, Clinton voted for both the war in Iraq and the USA PATRIOT Act and voted for its reauthorisation in 2006.

Obama's record, contrarily to the claims of his fawning admirators, is hardly better. Despite his vote against the war in Iraq, Obama is not anti-war. He advocated surgical missile strikes on Iran, as pointed out in the Antiwar article. He advocated invading Pakistan on two occasions -- in 2004, in the event that 'violent Islamic extremists' take over, and recently, to strike Al CIAda on Pakistani territory, in violation of Pakistan's national sovereignty.

Like Clinton, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and panders to AIPAC, both of which pre-select US candidates and have a stranglehold on US foreign policy. Clearly, given the track record of Israel, supporting it in any way automatically disqualifies someone from any claim to being anti-war.

In addition Obama is supported by Zbigniew Brzezinski, who founded the Trilateral Commission and was responsible for funding the Mujahedeen (known today as Al CIAda) against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Notwithstanding the inconvenient truths listed above, common sense would dictate that one should avoid the candidates who owe their popularity to being forced down people's throats by the media, the same media that sold the war in Iraq for the Bush regime and still promotes the official 9/11 propaganda in the face of overwhelming contrary evidence. The same media, also, which has used the dirtiest of tactics to censor non-anointed candidates like Ron Paul by rigging polls, as proven by this recording, and by making him disappear from graphs when he wins third place. The same media that achieved the Orwellian distinction of entertaining almost simultaneously the idea that Obama is both a radical Muslim and a racist black Christian. The convergence of interests between both allegedly independent parties and the corporate media became even more blatant when it was announced that Rupert Murdoch would raise funds for Clinton's campaign.

Now that no other candidates than Hillary, Obama and McCain have any chance of winning (as was predetermined since the beginning), those staged elections should be boycotted; doing otherwise will legitimise the control of the self-appointed elite and its facade democracy.

The European Union is spending £2.3billion a year on pro-Brussels propaganda - more than Coca Cola's entire global marketing budget.

Britain alone squanders £200million of taxpayers' cash on promotional material or funding groups that extol the benefits of a 'United States of Europe'.

Much of the money goes on 'highly dubious' propaganda that is targeted at children, according to a book by the think-tank Open Europe.

Examples found include one EU-funded town-twinning project between Banbury in Oxfordshire and towns in Germany, France and Poland.

Schoolchildren worked with MEPs to negotiate a directive on chocolate.

One website called 'Europa Go!', aimed at ten to 14-year-olds, included a quiz called 'The Euro Game' which promoted the single currency.

The book was compiled after Open Europe studied hundreds of EU documents.

The authors concluded that the EU was 'geared not towards providing neutral, balanced information, but towards trying to convince people to support EU integration'.

Open Europe director Lorraine Mullally said: 'In Britain, the EU is the most unpopular it has been in 25 years, and yet the Commission is doing nothing serious to correct this

'Instead of throwing taxpayers' money at propaganda, EU leaders need to take a long, hard look at what is going wrong.'
